Why it's worth the trip
Because it's the destination where water is the protagonist rather than the backdrop. And because at this distance the weekend already feels like a journey.
Landscape
The Claro river drops through a volcanic rock channel and has carved seven pools in a row, one below the next, linked by falls. Further up, the Bolsón valley opens beneath the silhouette of the Colmillo del Diablo. This is water and Maule forest — a different landscape from the dry central zone.
